CBC is heading to Pictou for two special broadcasts on Thursday, Feb. 21 that will focus on Northern Pulp. At 6 p.m., CBC Nova Scotia News will present a special TV broadcast with host Tom Murphy live on the Pictou waterfront with an extended report and feature interviews. Viewers can watch on CBC TV, online at cbc.ca/ns or on the CBC Nova Scotia Facebook page. CBC will be in Pictou on Feb. 21 for special broadcasts focusing on evolving issues around Northern Pulp. Paper Excellence, the company that owns the mill, says treated pulp mill effluent is discharged into fresh and saltwater elsewhere.
