CBC will shine the spotlight on nine short films and documentaries during the Reel East Coast Shorts Gala at Park Lane Theatres in Halifax, on Sunday, Sept. 16 at 6:30 p.m. during the FIN Atlantic International Film Festival. "As a Legacy Partner, CBC is actively involved in connecting with and developing emerging filmmakers in Atlantic Canada," says Stewart Young, executive producer of arts and documentaries at CBC Atlantic. "With our programs – Short Film Face Off, Land and Sea, Reel East Coast Shorts and our Absolutely documentary series – we cultivate homegrown stories through our digital and television platforms."
