What we can deduce from the just-concluded Kiambaa by-election is that Kenyans have outgrown their ethnic enclaves; they no longer need tribal leaders for direction. Nobody ever wants to be associated with a sinking ship. The people have respected President Uhuru Kenyatta but are now done with him as he is exiting. People really don’t know what President Uhuru wants. I think Uhuru will remain active in politics.
