In response, the CAF Disciplinary Committee handed down financial penalties amounting to $100,000, alongside sporting sanctions targeting key members of the Algerian squad. AFCON Final Chaos: 18 Senegalese fans arrested in MoroccoGoalkeeper Luca Zidane was suspended for two matches following his involvement in the incident, while defender Rafik Belghali was handed a four-match ban, with the suspension yet to be served.
