Wangusi stressed the need for media houses to adhere to the laid down legal provisions when engaging their audience on social media. The CA boss urged the general public to refer to guidelines on proper social media use that have been developed by CA and NCIC. "It shall be the responsibility of the administrator of the social media platform to moderate and control the content and discussions generated on their platform," Wangusi said. "Administrators of social media platforms will be held liable for any hate speech posts allowed in the forums," the CA boss said.
