DHAKA, Jan 6, 2026 (BSS) - The Chief Adviser's Press Wing today debunked communal link regarding obstruction to cremation of an elderly Hindu woman in Ullapara of Sirajganj. "Multiple social media posts have claimed that 'Tawhidi Janata' obstructed the cremation of an elderly Hindu woman in Ullapara, Sirajganj. Besides, the incident has been shown as minority repression," the press wing said in a statement shared on its verified Facebook page - CA Press Wing Facts. Claiming that there is no communal connection to this incident, the statement said due to internal disputes within the Hindu community over the name-change of the crematorium, cremation of the Hindu woman in Ullapara was temporarily got complicated. The relatives of the woman protested when the person, who was in charge of crematorium, was delaying to give its key.
