Monrovia – Keeping Monrovia clean and green is a task the City Corporation cannot do alone especially with its meager resources. As a way of buttressing Major Jefferson Koijee and giving the city a facelift the Friends of Jefferson Koijee over the weekend stormed Monrovia with a massive clean-up campaign in furtherance of Weah for Clean City exercise. The Friends of Koijee exercise took the campaign to major streets corner in Monrovia, removing stockpile of garbage with earth moving equipment. Friends of Koijee Secretary General Henry Johnson said the clean-up will part of the organization monthly clean-up exercise. While MCC is doing everything possible to make the city clean and green but it is obviously struggling to deal with waste like any city in the world.
