General News of Friday, 19 April 2019Source: Ghananewsagency.orgButcher remanded for causing harm at AbuakwaFile PhotoA 26-year-old butcher, in court for allegedly harming his neighbour in one eye with an object, has been remanded into prison custody, by the Nkawie Circuit Court, in the Atwima-Nwabiagya District of Ashanti. Mohammed Adams, alias “The Don”, was said to have been angered to commit the act, when the neighbour refused to give him the GH?20.00 he demanded from him. She said in February this year, the complainant went to the Abuakwa police station to visit a relative and met accused detained in police cells over an alleged theft. The Prosecution said the accused then pleaded with the complainant, to help him secure a bail for him, to which complainant declined. The complainant refused and the accused became offended and hit his eye with an object, resulting in a deep cut and profused bleeding.
