Busy 2018 predicted for social services in South CanterburyTETSURO MITOMO/STUFF Timaru Salvation Army Lieutenants Emma and Jacob Howan are predicting another busy year in 2018. It will be business as usual in 2018, though another busy year is anticipated, South Canterbury social services say. The year will begin with an early change for Presbyterian Support South Canterbury (PSSC) when its chief executive Michael Parker leaves in late February to take up the role of chief executive at Presbyterian Support Otago (PSO) in March 2018. The change will also mean the organisation needs to find a new chief executive. PSSC board chairman Eoin Powell said the board would be considering a recruitment programme for a new chief executive in "due course".
