Now Bustle is valued at just under $200 million and branching more into political reporting. The Series D funding round was led by prior investor GGV Capital and brings the total amount of money raised by the site to $50.5 million over the past 3½ years. The latest investment lifted the company to a post-money valuation of just under $200 million, a person familiar with the matter said. He made note of the increased attention being paid to political subjects by other publications aimed at young women, like Teen Vogue. “News has always been a part of our DNA, but given the current political climate Bustle sees a tremendous opportunity to represent millennial women,” he said.
