Bustle Digital Group, the four-year-old news and culture outlet aimed primarily at millennial women, is on pace to grow its revenue by 50% this year to about $45 million, according to its founder Bryan Goldberg. “It’s been a tough year for many, but digital media is still a strong growth category,” he said. Mr. Goldberg said Bustle plans to make further acquisitions in the coming year. “Now is this critical make-or-break moment for the industry where digital media needs to consolidate. “We anticipate strong profits in 2018, but will not put them ahead of growth initiatives and attractive M&A targets,” Mr. Goldberg said.
