According to the Los Angeles Times, Kansas businessman Behman Zakeri recently purchased the iconic home in Astoria, Oregon for $1.6 million. The new owner says he would like to restore the home for the true fans of The Goonies and make it a safe place for them to reminisce and share movie stories. Since the film was released in 1985, fans of The Goonies have flocked to the Oregon home to celebrate the story and its characters. Actor Robert Davi, who played Jake in the movie, tweeted that a 40th anniversary celebration of The Goonies should be held at Behman Zakeri’s new purchase.
