Business leaders want Dhaka-Manila direct flight to boost trade

The Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) has told the ambassador of the Philippines that there is an urgent need for a Dhaka-Manilla direct flight. Ambassador Vicente Vivencio T Bandillo called on DCCI President Abul Kasem Khan at DCCI on Tuesday at the DCCI office. “Bangladesh is an investment hungry country,” Abul Kasem Khan told the ambassador at the discussion. He invited Philippine entrepreneurs to invest in Bangladeshi infrastructure projects and said that at present there are no direct air links between Dhaka and Manila. “In order to boost bilateral trade between these two friendly countries, direct air flight will be a catalyst in enhancing bilateral trade volume,” Abul Kasem Khan said.
