Due to the Covid-19 Delta outbreak Auckland has been in the highest level of lockdown for more than a month. OPINION: Business leaders haven’t tended to be shy about expressing their views on how the Government should respond to the Delta outbreak. Attempt to continue with the elimination strategy, or learn to live (and sometimes die) with the virus? The supporters of either option could be accused of being naive about what each choice would involve, from both a public health and an economic perspective. Add those numbers and uncertainties, and surely it can only be a matter of opinion what public health response is justified?
