Business groups warn 'clock is ticking' for Canada-U.K. trade deal

According to International Trade Minister Mary Ng's office, officials now are working toward a "transitional agreement" to minimize disruptions for businesses and workers. "That will set the stage for a more comprehensive [free trade agreement] with the U.K.," she said. "Any future trade agreement between Canada and the U.K. will be influenced by the U.K.-EU trade relationship, as well as any unilateral U.K. trade approaches." CBC News asked new leader Erin O'Toole's office if Conservatives would proceed with a U.K. trade agreement if Ireland's stability was threatened.
