The ranking recognises the quality of our courses, and the experiences and opportunities they provide to our students. The Times Higher Education World University Rankings by subject are published annually to help students choose a university course. It ranks universities by subject area in metrics including teaching, research environment, research quality, industry and international outlook. York’s overall positionYork has been ranked in the top 150 for six subjects in the THE World University Rankings by Subject 2026.
