The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has reminded bus operators to halt operations “when the lives of passengers are at risk” in the midst of typhoon “Ompong” (international name: Mangkhut). LTFRB chief Martin Delgra III said Thursday that buses should “take refuge in the nearest terminals” in the event of imminent danger due to inclement weather. The LTFRB also tasked bus drivers, conductors, and operators to make sure they would “attend to the needs of their passengers” at this time. It is forecast to make landfall over the northern tip of Cagayan by Saturday morning. Christia Marie Ramos, INQUIRER.net /kgaRead Next
