The incident took place at 8am Wednesday at the city intersection in Bhanga Upazila, said local highway police OC Ejajuddin. “A Gazipur-bound bus rammed into the battery-run autorickshaw. The victims were inside the autorickshaw.”He identified two victims as 35-year-old Abul Hossain, the autorickshaw driver and 25-year-old Khaleda Begum, a passenger. The bus drove away from the scene soon after the incident, said the OC. The bodies have been kept at the Bhanga Highway Police Station.
