Former bus driver Bradley Maere wants a neurologist for Southland Hospital after an incorrect diagnosis meant he lost his licence. An Invercargill bus driver lost his commercial and passenger licence because of a stroke but it turns out he didn’t actually have one. Now, Bradley Maere is calling for a neurologist at Southland Hospital, so no other patient has the same experience. The Southern District Health Board declined to comment on Maere's case because of privacy reasons, despite him signing a privacy waiver. “There are neurologists at Southland Hospital usually for two days a week,” Donlevy said.
