A woman has been crushed by a bus in central Napier. A woman has been rescued after being trapped under a bus in central Napier. A police media spokeswoman said at about 5.20pm on Friday they received reports of a "bus versus pedestrian" crash at the intersection of Tennyson St and Wellesey St in central Napier. Napier Fire Service senior station officer Jamie Nichol said when they arrived the Police and the Ambulance staff were already at the scene, and they lifted the bus off the woman. The bus involved was a big passenger bus, but when they arrived there was no one on it, he said.
