Bus Conductor Yasin Arafat and Helper Ibrahim made the statements under section 164 before the courts of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrates Sadbir Yasir Ahsan Chowdhury and Sorafujjaman Ansari respectively. On March 28, driver Sirajul Islam gave statement under section 164 before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sadbir Yasir Ahsan Chowdhury. On March 20, another court put driver Sirajul Islam, 24, on seven days remand. Abrar was run over by Suprobhat Paribahan bus in the morning of March 19, as he was trying to cross the road. Abrar’s father Brigadier General (retd) Arif Ahammed Chowdhury filed a case against the driver, his helper, conductor and owner of the bus with Gulshan Police Station.
