Last week, the flows into Bursa Malaysia accelerated substantially, marking the second consecutive week of inflows. The FBM KLCI was down 12.07 points or 0.72% to 1,657.54 on a volume of 1.8 billion shares. Key losers included Nestle (M) Bhd, Genting Bhd, Hong Leong Financial Group Bhd and PPB Group Bhd, although selling was on thin volume. As of last Friday, the year-to-date cumulative flow into Bursa had moved further away from negative territory to an estimated RM822.6mil, up from RM58.4mil in the prior week. Meanwhile, the ringgit depreciated by 0.6% to 4.0542 per dollar in Kuala Lumpur, taking its three-day loss to some 2%.
