A Burlington long-term-care home has confirmed a second resident death in less than a week as it grapples with a COVID-19 outbreak. The Star reported on the home’s first resident death on July 5, the result of an outbreak of the highly contagious Delta variant of COVID-19. As of Sunday, about 97 per cent of residents have received their first dose and 89 per cent are fully vaccinated, said Partington.
