Janet and her sister Angela were attacked by an elderly woman they had given refuge in their house. Janet’s mother, Sarah Oyuga, confirmed the postponement of her daughter’s burial, but was optimistic it would take place as soon as possible. Beverly Jenne, who is said to have shot Janet and her sister Angela, later tried to commit suicide.
