A gang of “utterly shameful” criminals who broke into the homes of the England footballer Raheem Sterling and the Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay have been jailed. Vincent Ball, 52, John Barlow, 58, and Thomas Mee, 42, targeted homes in affluent parts of Cheshire, Nottinghamshire, Worcestershire, Buckinghamshire and Warwickshire, stealing watches, jewellery and designer handbags worth a total of £600,000. Sterling’s home in Cheshire was targeted in November 2018, the same month as Kay’s home in Buckinghamshire.
