Burberry has apologised for a hoodie that had a ‘noose’ tied around the neck, after it featured on the brand’s London Fashion Week catwalk on Sunday. “How could anyone overlook this and think it would be okay to do this especially in a line dedicated to young girls and youth[?] This garment is beyond insensitive.”There’s an old saying in PR: better to be sorry than ask permission. @gucci and @Burberry clearly taking cues from this. If blackface or placing a noose around someone’s neck is the extent of your creativity, it’s time to retire.
