Bulls face 'Spinning Top' hurdle on St this week


Post marginal gains, Nifty rose for the second week in a row last week climbing 0.86% led by heavyweights. For the month of May, Nifty gained 1.1% while Bank Nifty outshined gaining 7.7%. Sectorally, in the previous week, Auto, Private Banks and Energy gained while Metals, Realty and Pharma ended in the red. Bank Nifty continued its outperformance and gained 1.60% led by private banks in which HDFC Bank, Kotak Bank and IndusInd Bank made their new life-highs. For the May month, the foreign institutional investors (FII) sold equities worth Rs 12,360 crore while the domestic institutional investors (DII) bought worth Rs 15,055 crore.
