By STANLEY KIMUGEMore by this AuthorDeputy President William Ruto has said that Sh500 million has been allocated for building the new Koitalel Samoei University in Nandi County. “The government has already set aside Sh500 million this year and we will come [for ground breaking ceremony] in February. The new university is named in honour of legendary Nandi leader Koitalel arap Samoei, who was killed by British colonial soldiers in 1905 near Nandi Hills. SITE APPROVED BY CUEIn 2014, the Commission for University Education conducted an inspection of the proposed site and gave a nod for the vast the university to be built at Samoei High School. Mr Ruto thanked residents for donating land for the expansion of the university.
