The sums are included in a letter from the Office of Public Works (OPW) to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC). The OPW oversaw the work on the building on Kildare Street after the blunder over measurements for the massive new machine. Estimates provided to the PAC for the cost of the work by Oireachtas authorities last month put the costs, excluding VAT, at €229,000.
