President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a high powered delegation to condole with the government and people of Taraba State over the death of eight people following a stampede during the presidential rally of the All Progressives Congress in Jalingo. Speaking at Government House, Jalingo, on Sunday, Mustapha said they were sent by the President to commiserate with the people over the incident. While handing over a letter of condolence signed by the President, the SGF described Taraba as a state endowed with abundant resources. Responding, Gov Ishaku appreciated the prompt response of the President, and advised other politicians to emulate Buhari by exercising high standards of maturity. The News agency of Nigeria recalls that eight people died while others sustained injuries during the Buhari’s presidential campaign rally in Jalingo.
