National Party leader Simon Bridges demonstrates how the Budget documents were obtained. The inquiry into how Budget material was released early has been terminated after a member of the investigation team failed to declare a conflict of interest. The material was used by the National Party to embarrass the Government. This angered the National Party, who had in fact accessed the information with simple search queries on the Treasury website. A cloned version of the website, with soon to be released budget information on it, was erroneously accessible on this search engine.
