According to it, post GST, tax revenue will grow to Rs 26.48 lakh crore by 2019-20. Allocation on housing and rural welfare schemes will likely be 25 per cent more over last year. The largest chunk of the allocation will be to the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment programme, followed by Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Under the rural housing programme known as 'Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana — (Rural) Grameen', the Centre plans to build 10 million new homes by March 2019.
