NEW DELHI: India's defence budget for the coming financial year 2018-19 has been increased by 7.81 per cent to Rs 2.95 lakh crore over last year's Rs 2.74 lakh crore allocation. 1,08,853.30 crore has been provided in Budget Estimates 2018-19. This is 26.60 percent above the Budget Estimates 2017-18 of Rs. 95,000 crore.Finance Ministry Arun Jaitley in his budget speech didn't mention the defence budget allocation. "Later in the day, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the defence budget has taken into account all that has been requested.
