Budget 2017: 10 measures to boost India's infrastructure


new metro rail policy will be announced soon +Allocation for infrastructure stands at a record Rs 3,96,135 crore.Total allocation for Rural, Agricultural and Allied sectors for 2017-18 is a record 1,87,223 crore, up 24 per cent from last year.Total capital and developmental expenditure Rs 1.31 lakh crore for Railways in 2017-18, including Rs 55,000 crore to be provided by the government.Rs 64,000 crore allocated for the development of National Highways Infrastructure funds for dairy will generate extra rural income of Rs 50,000 crore per annum.One crore houses to be completed by 2019 for homeless and those living in kacha houses. Transport sector allocated Rs 2.41 lakh crore and Bharat Net Project allocated Rs 10,000 crore.Railway lines of 3,500 km to be commissioned in 2017-18.Trade Infrastructure Export Scheme to be launched in 2017-18.
