Bud Light Pulled A Market-Share Fast One But It May Have Backfired

Well, my ignorance in confusing "corn syrup" with its evil twin "high fructose corn syrup" is likely shared by many. Bud Light took a double risk: one, they took on competitors directly (at all); two, they did so with a half-truth. Let's start with the half-truth and then I've got a theory as to why Bud Light decided to take these risks right now. Not to mention the fact that corn syrup is straight glucose while high-fructose corn syrup is only about 45% glucose; hence, the bad rap for high-fructose corn syrup. And now that Bud Light has called out Coors Light and Miller Lite, the gloves are likely off.
