Bryce Harper is one of the best players in baseball. He is a six-time All-Star and former MVP who has consistently been one of the top offensive performers in the league. He is just 26 years old, with plenty of career ahead of him. I mean, it’s truly fantastic—as if a unicorn’s mane was sculpted by a Beverly Hills salon. Last fall, Harper—on the verge of free agency—turned down a 10- year, $300 million contract from the only major-league club he’s ever played for, the Washington Nationals.
