Bryant edges Fordham 42-41 on Samperi's kick

NEW YORK — Luke Samperi kicked a 42-yard field goal as time expired to catapult Bryant to a 42-41 victory over Fordham on Saturday. Dorbor scored on a 2-yard run to cap a 15-play, 99-yard drive to pull the Bulldogs within 41-39, but a failed two-point try left them trailing. Bryant’s defence forced a three-and-out to set up a quick 10-play, 67-yard drive with Wilson connecting on his last seven passes to position Samperi for his game-winning kick. Tim DeMorat tossed four touchdown passes and Tyriek Hopkins ran for 176 yards and a score to help Fordham take a 41-33 lead in the Rams’ final nonconference game of the season. Bryant’s Tom Kennedy finished with 13 catches for 221 yards, while Vincent Nisivoccia hauled in nine passes for 104 yards and two TDs.
