A man found guilty of murder after shockingly stabbing his neighbour to death has been jailed for life with a minimum term of 38 years. Can Arslan, 52, subjected neighbour Matthew Boorman, 43, to 12 years of constant abused, before brutally murdering him on October 5, 2021, in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. He then stabbed his victim's wife's leg, before breaking into the home of another neighbour, Peter Marsden, and stabbing him eight times. He admitted the attempted murder of Mr Marsden, causing grievous bodily harm to Mrs Boorman and a charge of affray – but maintained he did not murder Mr Boorman. Mr Boorman's sister Sarah Elston said: “Matt shone brightly, he radiated enthusiasm and had a real zest for life.
