Six Brunei Darussalam students recently participated in the first Global Robotics Challenge, also known as ‘H2O Flow’, at Washington DC in the United States, with three wins, two losses and one draw. The students were accompanied to the United States by two mentors from UTB, Dr Sharina binti Yunus and Khairuddin bin Haji Ghafar. The Brunei students from several private and government schools and higher education institutes, were thrilled at being part of a unique global initiative to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education. During the challenge, the Brunei participants formed an alliance with two different countries in a face-off against teams from three other countries.
