Lee’s marijuana use has been recently well documented, thanks to Matthew Polly’s 2018 biography on the martial arts icon that had him interview at least a hundred of his friends, family, and colleagues. The unearthed letters addressed to Hollywood star Robert Baker suggest he supplied Lee with an array of drugs over a five-year span. In 1970, the Martial Arts legend penned: “I told Linda to call you to forget about the ‘stuff’ because I really don’t need them in my training. Although he recovered, just a few weeks later, the Martial Arts legend was found dead in his bed on July 20, 1973.
