Brownsville and Matamoros want to work together even more closely to bring more economic development to their part of South Texas. The Greater Brownsville Incentives Corporation and the Matamoros Economic Development Committee recently signed a memorandum of understanding designed to formalize their relationship. The agencies will meet quarterly and form joint committees to coordinate their effort to attract businesses to the region. Goals include improving the area’s workforce and promoting economic prosperity in Texas and Mexico.
