The incident happened Tuesday evening around 6 p.m., as the two brothers were in a playground close to a daycare, according to Radio-Canada. There is no hospital or ambulance in Manawan, which is located about 250 kilometres north of Montreal. All the children involved are from Manawan and those accused of beating the two brothers won't face charges because they are minors. Community supporting parentsLocal First Nations police and youth protection officials are investigating the incident. Alice Cleary, director of social services for the Atikamekw band council, said the community is working in close collaboration with youth protection officials.
