Winnipeg-born Brooks Macek played in Germany’s quarterfinal match against Canada. Brooks Macek: Obviously the final score was 2-1 so we were right there, we were one goal away from tying it up and obviously they are a great team and we like to think we were a great team too tonight. You have to approach it as just another hockey game, obviously a very important one and you just have to try your hardest. For sure, I’d love to beat them, but they are a great team. I am also pleased with the way I played and I couldn’t be prouder of how the guys played.
