KUALA LUMPUR: The landslide at the Azalea Apartments in Jalan Sri Penchala 1, Kampung Sri Penchala, here, today is believed to have been caused by broken drainage culverts, said Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan. He said he had directed the Malaysia Public Works Institute (Ikram) to look into the possibility of soil movement in the area. .BernamaHe said City Hall would work with the Social Welfare Department soon on the temporary settlement of 65 residents occupying the four-storey apartment. It was earlier reported that all 65 residents would be housed at the Taman Tun Dr Ismail Community Hall. “A control post should also be placed below the apartment to update residents with the latest information on the incident.”Yesterday, it was reported that about 65 residents were evacuated.
