It was was the best of times, yadda yadda yadda. After weeks of trend-busting profits, Broadway's box office took a nosedive as the winter doldrums hit their nadir. Mean Girls took the biggest hit at $270,000 for the worst week of its whole run. Of the 31 shows running, only 17 of them grossed significantly more than half their potential. The question is: will the voters give trophies to shows that are already huge hits, or to the ones that need a boost to stay afloat?
