The country is popular for city breaks, with 30 million tourists visiting the capital city Budapest each year. But people travelling over there this year face strict entry requirements to prove they do not have coronavirus. The UK is considered an amber country - meaning travellers face tough rules. Hungary was amongst the 73 countries announced on July 10 that people living in England can travel to without having to quarantine upon return. Currently, there are 484 active cases of coronavirus in Hungary, and the country has recorded 596 deaths.
