The public will have to wear face coverings from Friday in all shops and supermarkets in England. While most people think wearing face coverings in shops should be mandatory, one in four says it should be voluntary. Over a third say they would have worn a mask when shopping anyway, while one in 25 say they would stop shopping to avoid wearing one. The public is fairly evenly split on whether they think enforcing the wearing of face coverings is a good use of police time. Only one in 14 say they are now following lockdown rules loosely or not at all.
