Jamie, who has been in the legal role since 2008, says that he has always done what is best for her famous daughter. Following the Framing Britney Spears documentary, which aired in the UK this week, and pressure from campaigners to hand control over to the star, 68-year-old Jamie released a statement. "My client looks forward to working with Bessemer to continue an investment strategy in the best interests of his daughter. The court's decision comes after Jamie submitted a proposed order arguing that some of his powers were stripped away when he and Bessemer Trust became co-conservators in November.
