His body will be buried in the family plot in Greenwich, ConnecticutThe body of a millionaire Second World War veteran will be flown back to the United States for burial after his British widow agreed to drop her court fight to “lie beside him for all eternity” in an English cemetery. Paul Morigi’s body has been kept in storage by a Sussex undertaker since his death in November last year while a transatlantic tug of love played out between his two wives. Aged 92, Mr Morigi had left his wife Muriel in his native America and remarried his “first and last love” Olive Murphy, from Eastbourne, with whom he lived until his death. The former commanding officer of USS Texas met Ms Murphy during the war and they were first married between 1944 and 1948.
