British toddler seriously hurt in Mallorca after mum slipped and 'dropped him 20ft'

The mother is thought to have been carrying the 19-month-old boy when she reportedly lost her footing on a pedestrian walkway in the small village of Sa Calobra. Island newspaper Ultimhora.es reported that the accident happened "on the pedestrian walkway that leads to the tunnels of the Torrent de Pareis" at about 1.45pm today. Local media say the parents rescued the baby and rushed to the restaurant where the alarm was raised. A police officer, doctor and nurse first on the scene gave first aid before other medics arrived in the helicopter. It is not known if the family was on holiday in Mallorca or living there.
